DESCRIPTION:LOCATION: LOWER SAVANNA SOWETO EMBAKASI EAST.\nFOUNDER: The late Mr Nyawire.\nCURRENTLY RUN BY: co-founder Mrs. Consolata Nyawire (wife) and Mr. Julius Owino (son)\nThe home was started in the year 2004 by the late Mr. Nyawire and his wife who is mother to Mr Julius Owino who runs the home and school together with his other brother. It was later registered in 2007.\nThe home cares for Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in Soweto. The home provide shelter\, feeding program and education for the children.\nHome is located in the Soweto slums area and has really assisted in rescue of kids from engaging in drug abuse and alcohol. The mission of the home is to provide a holistic care with a view of reducing poverty among the inhabitants in Soweto and bringing up a healthy educated community to contribute in development of our nation. This can only be achieved by provision of Education\, medical services\, feeding and giving accommodation to these disadvantaged children.\nThe home has 46 children; of which 28 are girls and 18 are boys. The ages ranges from 2 years to 19 years.\nLocated on a family owned plot where there are 2 rooms one for boys and one for girls\, a kitchen and hall which is used as library and as a dining hall.\nThe home depends on Mr Julius who used to work as a driver. He later stopped working to focus on assisting his mother to run the home and school. The home has no donors and currently depends on well-wishers.\nThe founder of the home was well known to the Soweto society as he assisted several individuals to a point where he constructed a school where the children from the home as well as children from the nearby society from needy families could school The school is currently closed due to Covid-19.\nCURRENT REQUIREMENTS:\n1. Foodstuffs like Maize flour\, cooking oil\, wheat flour\, beans\, porridge flour\, sugar\, salt\, tea leaves\, rice\n2. Detergents\, Soap\, tissues sanitary towels\, Vaseline\, pampers\n3. Kitchen utensils like Sufuria\, plates\, sinia\, spoon\, cups\, pans\, firewood\n4. Blankets\, mattresses\, cloths\, beds\n5. SUMMARY:New Vision Rescue Center Project
DESCRIPTION:NEW VISION RESCUE CENTER is a home with 35 children who come from different special backgrounds.\nThe home play host to children between the age of 3 years to years\, both boys\, and girls. \nThe founder Mrs. Mary started the home in 2008 when there was a great need to rescue children who were neglected by their guardians\, either by being sexually harassed or orphaned. \nShe took an early retirement to ensure that the local children lived better lives. \nThe children\, through thick and thin\, have managed to survive all this and are doing well under the management of their caregiver\, Mrs. Mary.\nAfter our pre-visit last month\, there was a great need to re-look at the hygiene of the children\, especially where they sleep and where they keep their clothes. \nWe have launched a project dubbed #NEWVISIONCENTERFACELIFT through which we plan on changing all the broken wooden beds and all the mabati boxes that the children use to keep their clothes. \nWith a budget of Ksh. 300\,000\, we are sure we shall leave all children with strong\, good quality beds\, new mattresses\, clean bedding and wardrobes to store their clothes. \nWe are asking all well-wishers to support us in this initiative\, to ensure that we leave New Vision Rescue Center a better place for the children to live in. \nKindly send your donations through MPESA TILL NUMBER: 636567. \nThank you so much\, and may the good Lord bless you as you plan to support this program. \nOur Society\, My Responsibility. \nFOR MORE DETAILS CALL US ON: 0720612221 or 0721650075.
