METAMETA CHILDREN’S HOME

Metameta Children’s Home

This home is situated in Mountain View ward, Kangemi, right here in Nairobi. It was started in 1999 as a women’s self help group and was officially registered in 2005.

The home gives shelter to 45 children, aged between 8 months to 18 years. They are living in a compound with 9 rental houses which cost 40,000 per month and they depend on well wishers for food.

Their Current requirements are Unga (maize/wheat), milk, soap, cooking oil, diapers among other basic essentials.

Following the Ministry of Health guidelines, that we should maintain social distance and avoid gathering in large crowds, a small number of LOCA delegates will go to Metameta on 8th August, 2020 to present the proceeds from your generous contributions.
